Aquarium Consultants International (ACI), is a company dedicated to improving the way people shop, buy, and maintain aquariums. With over sixty years of experience, we have designed, built, installed, and maintained some of the world’s largest and most exquisite salt water fish aquariums. To better serve the public, we have included other top aquarium manufacturers so you can compare not only prices, but perhaps get ideas that you might have otherwise missed. Extreme caution should be used when buying custom aquariums.

You would not know it by searching the Internet, but there are but a handful of quality aquarium manufacturers worldwide. ACI CORP and the manufacturers listed on this site are the ones hired by the Movie industry, Cities, and Countries to build their freshwater aquariums and salt water fish aquariums. You will not find these companies from an ad in the yellow pages, but rather from engineers, architects and major construction firms. The manufacturers found here are the Who’s Who of the aquarium industry. The largest and most reputable include, ACI-ATM, Living Color, Cal Aquarium, Sea Visions, Reynolds, and Aquariums For You (Glass). Tenecor, Crystal Clear, Oceanic are good, but in our opinion, for smaller custom aquariums.

Can you do this with glass?

When at all possible, we recommend contacting a service company to design and install your aquarium.Products found on this site are not cheap nor should they be. Freshwater aquariums and salt water fish aquariums, in all their beauty, can be some of the most dangerous products you can buy, and we strongly urge you to contact us before using someone other than those listed here. Of course there are less qualified companies that are not listed here and we will be happy to provide those to you upon request. A good rule of thumb is to start at the top and work down.

When at all possible, we recommend contacting a service company to design and install your aquarium.

To save our customers money, we often use local service companies to help with installation of commercial aquariums and custom home aquariums.

On lager projects it is necessary for us to install on site, but once the installation is complete, we hand over the keys and the client takes over. Typically, the client will use the service company that helped with the installation; therefore, we highly recommend looking in our maintenance directory for a service company nearest you.

hey! I am so glad that I found this website! i am only 13 rite now, but i am going to become a marine biologist and try to discover some treasure of some sort in the ocean, and once i do so, i am going to have lots of aquariums in my home. Each one is going to have different types of sea animals in it that get along and it will be so awsome!!! i was looking at some pictures on your website and i really like them!!! i was thinking that i would want something like the one with the wood walls surounding the tanks, it’s really pretty. But i also want a tunnel tou can walk through like at sea world and an area outside like on an other one of your pictures, and that will be around a big tank with lots of tropical fish and things. I think that it will be a sea animal rescue for fish and animals that are injured or were neglected. I am going to work my whole life trying make this dream a realality and my home as fast as possible and i’m never going to stop trying!! I plan to hopfully go to college in San Diago, California(i live in Oregon) then get a job some were in marine biology to make money and learn and experiance more.
    sincerely, Amber

    P.s. please stay in buisnes!

Hey just an idea. But I was reading a post about pristine tropical reefs the other day and this guy was researching them. He studied reefs that were used frequently and worked his way to more remote areas. When he finally got to the pristine areas he found that the water was far clearer than the other areas supporting and abundance of life. What he found there that wasn’t in the other areas was a huge amount of clams that were acting as filters for the water. Just an idea to help with the filtration issues related to saltwater aquariums. Might help might not.

Those are some awesome aquariums. Way larger scale than I am accustomed to. Nice work.
